Happy 2007

I am getting ready to go pay rent and deliver a letter terminating my lease (I haven't had an active lease for more than a year now - the landlord appears to never have been to worried about making me sign a new one). Hopefully everything at the house gets done on track in the next few weeks as I don't want to have to ask to stay longer here and more importantly, paying rent and the mortgage is getting harder to do since almost all of the construction loan is out so the payments are getting rather large (the monthly payment is the interest on the amount spent so it has consistently grown as the months have passed).

In other news, my truck was broken into this weekend. The thief stole a pair of prescription sunglasses and the keys to the house. There wasn't anything in the truck with the address of the house so the keys are worthless to the thief. However, it has meant I have not been able to get in over there. The thief didn't steal the new garage light sitting in the truck, my iTrip, or the MagLight flashlight that was sitting in plain view so I guess it could have been worse. Tomorrow I will have to make some calls to get the passenger side window replaced. And the contractor will have to make me more keys. Ugh...
