One other thing...

While you have all seen how trashed out the house is, I have to report that my apartment is similarly in disarray. I have started packing – slowly – plus I have a range of renovation related items piled around – a sink, tile samples, catalogs, kitchen & bath design books & magazines, paint samples, landscape design books (mostly for small gardens as my yard is quite small - this brings up another reason I am not happy with the brick yahoos - by this time the brick was supposed to be done as well as the concrete for the new walks & piers for the deck - then I would have been able to start planting stuff - instead I have scaffolding and crap all over my backyard)...

Also, this weekend my “mattress hook-up” came to town and delivered my new king (master bedroom) and queen (east bedroom) sets. The queen set is now on my current bed while the king set is propped up in the hallway outside the living room. Tomorrow night I am going to clean and re-arrange the front bedroom so I can lay the mattress flat. That means the cats will now have a huge pile of mattresses (king set plus the full set already in there) to chase each other around. Fortunately the king set is still completely wrapped in plastic…
